Twelve Days of Christmas: Third Day of Christmas
Friday, December 27th—Third Day of Christmas
The Gift of Sharing
Scripture: John 6:1-14
Reflection: In this story from later in Jesus’ life, we read about how Jesus and the Disciples were with thousands of hungry people, and there was one boy who had five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus had the people sit down together and he broke the bread and shared the fish—and there were even leftovers when it was all done! We are reminded that even when we have a little, it is good to share what we have with others.
Activity: Sort through old toys and books to give to others. Think about how you can share what you have.
Prayer: Giving God, we thank You for all You have given us, especially Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for the ability to give and share with others. Help us to do so. Amen.
